The Coalition to Improve Education

Since 2003 the Coalition to Improve Education has helped students raise their school grades and test scores simply by teaching them how to read. We believe that all children can learn if provided with encouragement and taught with effective teaching materials and methods. By providing students who are one to as many as five years behind in English Language Arts with an After-School Reading Intervention program, the Coalition to Improve Education is changing lives, giving hope to children and their families – a hope for a brighter future because with the skills needed to compete in the global economy they will be able to achieve the American dream.

If a child is struggling academically, the root cause is often the inability to decode words and comprehend.
We deliver a variety of curriculums based upon the needs of the individual student. All curriculum and methodologies are scientifically researched based with measurable outcomes.

After only being in the country for 2 years, Marcos joined our program in 2006. Since then, he speaks English fluently is an Honor Roll student and has been promoted out of English Language Development (ELD) for English-Learners and is now in the mainstream of the school system. He recently received a Golden Medal Award from his school which is a first place award for reading.
